International Workshop "EMF Research for Better Risk Management"

The workshop took place in Berlin, February 1-3, 2009, as part of the IMBA project

The purpose of the workshop was an interdisciplinary discussion focusing on knowledge gaps in and priorities for health research related to mobile communication technologies. Particular topics of this discussion were the role of genomics in risk assessment as well as the further research needs resulting from new mobile communication applications and devices. The participants extended the perspective on research needs by including further topics like reviewing evidence, assessing and characterizing hazards, dealing with uncertainty and deriving and defining appropriate health protection strategies.
